Optimistic is layered and textured “electroacoustic” – a cross between electronica and folk rock, befitting the genre-hopping melissa may and sleepy pete (and their pal Feedle). It has evocative lyrics about the loves of a lifetime in an indifferent universe. There’s an astronomy-themed video, involving the vibrant cosmos.
The sky was filled with rainbows is a gentle, atmospheric song, primarily synth-based. It’s soothing, with a build.
2 WINTERCUTS is sorta two tracks, but I prefer to think of it as having a two-minute intro. 🙂 They’re instrumental except for samples – first, some constantly shifting electro, and second, some head-bobbing electronica, with smooth synths and staccato drums.
My Dancing May Assassinate is a noodly, head-bobbing, minimal, and chill piece of jazz electronica.
Thank You is a noodly and spacy electronica take on an Alanis Morissette song.
Da House is a noodly little dance song.
Mixado Ar Sinore is just a charming, loopy song with squealing synths. It’s based on Haddado TarraT odaddaH, a nice electronica song that looped back into reverse, becoming a mirror or palindrome of itself.
Lambda Loops is some techno with a great momentum.
Plate of Beans is a dark, glitchy piece of electronica.
unhiphop [ar 2] is electronica, with layers of chill and noodling synths, head-bobbing percussion, & glitch.
Ten Thousand Waves is an atmospheric electronica song.
Synthoholics Anonymous is a sometimes cheesy, sometimes pretty chiptune romp.
Sanitarium Sound System v2.0 has an awesome rolling bassline.
The Biggie Blues is fun hip-hop, remixing Notorious B.I.G. with glitchy samples.
Triomphe de L’Obélisque is shimmery, with keening electric guitars and heavy dialogue samples.
Trinity has evocative guitarwork, a metronomic flute, & heartbeat-like drums.
Lufthansa is an instrumental electronica song that often abruptly switches gears – it shifts from build-up to chill out, and back, and out.
Ascension Island is a synthpop song about love and espionage.
Positronic Hips is a mellow, instrumental bit of electronica from frequently showcased artist Jimbob.
Quantum Mechanics is instrumental electronica that builds up a nice momentum.
Long Night and Nothing to Do is a sedate, atmospheric song.
Flagging is a really quiet, spacy, and ambient song.
Glow is another lovely song from Electric Winter. It’s instrumental, with synths, guitars, a drum machine, and a xylophone.
Aware is a mellow electronica song from Electric Winter.

Radio Panda is a nice, quick-moving, techno track. It marks the third song in a week that I’ve posted from ageispolis, due to 1. the strictly chronological order that I’m posting in, and 2. ageispolis is awesome.
In fact, a week of ageispolis sounds like fun.

Concerta Helps You Concentrate is a really quick-moving piece of electronica. Speedy, even.
awescillate is an aggressive electro track. It’s sorta obnoxious & repetitious, but, well, I like it.
Nova (Type III Mix) is an upbeat, sorta glitchy electronica track.
Sum Yung Punk is a tasty melange of drum & bass. I like the different layers, with their wildly differing speeds.
bp vs oscillator707 is a lovely, short, & ambient lullaby.
Untitled in 5 is droning electronica, with an acoustic guitar.
The Rain Expedition is a quiet, atmospheric electronica piece.
